Preliminary Procedures

1. Open and support the rear outer liftgate assembly.
2. Remove the 2 upper outer access hole plugs on the inner liftgate panel in order to access and remove the outer spoiler nuts.

Nut (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
3 N·m (27 lb in)

Retainer (Qty: 3)

Tip
Ensure the foam gaskets are in place prior to securing the spoiler to the liftgate panel.

Rear Spoiler Assembly

Tip
Secure the center retainers prior to securing the inner liftgate panel nuts.

Adhesive Tape

Tip
The spoiler along with the adhesive tape surface should be an ambient temperature of 21°C (70°F) prior to installation. The vehicle should remain the ambient temperature of 21°C (70°F) for at least 1 hour after the assembly of the spoiler to the upper liftgate panel in order to allow the adhesive to develop sufficient bond strength.
