Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the center console extension. Refer to Front Floor Console Extension Replacement - Center.
2. Remove the console. Refer to Console Replacement.
3. Disconnect the shift control cables. Refer to Floor Shift Control Cable Replacement (Automatic Transmission) or Shift Cable Replacement (Manual Transmission).
4. Remove the body control module. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement.

Instrument Panel Center Support Bracket Screw (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Instrument Panel Center Support Bracket Bolt (Qty: 3)

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)

Remove the shift control assembly from the instrument panel center support bracket.
