The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Dealers and customers will notice that on some 2008 and 2009 HHR SS vehicles, the driver's seat is different than the rest of the seats in the vehicle.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the vehicle is ordered with RPO AE4 (Seat, driver, Premium Cloth with UltraLux, GM Performance Division, High bolster extended length seat cushion, high bolster seatback, SS embroidery and color-keyed accents.) the following information is noted on the RPO description.
Front passenger seat and rear seat are the same as (AP9) Premium Cloth with UltraLux insert front bucket seats. Driver seat cushion will have a complimentary appearance but are not identical in color scheme, size or shape. Not available with (13C) Ebony/Gray Premium Cloth with UltraLux inserts interior color
No repair of the vehicle is needed or required. This is normal for a vehicle with this option.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
