INTAKE MANIFOLD CHANGE 350 CID POLICE ENGINE

SHOULD A LOSS OF INTAKE GASKET SEALING BE ENCOUNTERED ON A 1980 OR 1981 POLICE VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH 350 CID V-8 ENGINE AND ALUMINUM INTAKE MANIFOLD, A CAST IRON MANIFOLD (P/N 14031392) MAY BE INSTALLED. TWO (2) NEW HIGH TEMPERATURE (BLACK) INTAKE MANIFOLD SIDE GASKETS MUST BE INSTALLED WITH THE CAST IRON MANIFOLD. THE PROPER GASKETS ARE AVAILABLE IN KIT P/N 14038088 OR KIT P/N 14034821. THE INTAKE MANIFOLD BOLTS SHOULD BE TORQUED TO 30 FT. LBS. IN THE SPECIFIED SEQUENCE SHOWN IN FIGURE 6A 4-6 IN THE 1980 CHEVROLET SERVICE MANUAL.
