Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 3.4L

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
2. Remove the left diagonal brace. Refer to Front Fender Upper Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body Front End.
3. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp at the thermostat housing. Disconnect the inlet hose (1) from the thermostat housing



4. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp at the radiator.
5. Disconnect the inlet hose from the radiator. Remove the inlet hose.

1. Align the marks on the hose. Install the inlet hose to the radiator.
2. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition and install the hose clamp at the radiator.



3. Connect the inlet hose (1) to the thermostat housing.
4. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition and install the inlet hose at the thermostat housing.
5. Install the left diagonal brace. Refer to Front Fender Upper Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body Front End.
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
7. Inspect for leaks.

Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 3.8L

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Partially drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
2. Remove the left diagonal brace. Refer to Front Fender Upper Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body Front End.
3. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp at the radiator.
4. Disconnect the inlet hose from the radiator.



5. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp at the thermostat housing.
6. Disconnect the inlet hose from the thermostat housing. Remove the inlet hose.

1. Align the marks on the hose. Install the inlet hose.
2. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition and install the hose clamp at the thermostat housing.



3. Connect the inlet hose to the radiator.
4. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition and install the hose clamp at the radiator.
5. Install the left diagonal brace. Refer to Front Fender Upper Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body Front End.
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
7. Inspect for leaks.
