Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 190513 Size: SH
  2. Remove the fuel return pipe to the fuel injector rail. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.4L.

    3. Object Number: 190514 Size: SH
  3. Remove the fuel feed pipe to the fuel injector rail. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.4L.

    4. Object Number: 190511 Size: SH
  4. Remove the fuel pipe clip.

    5. Object Number: 190512 Size: SH
  5. Remove the fuel pipe clip bolt.

    6. Object Number: 190531 Size: SH
  6. Remove the oil pump drive bolt.
  7. Remove the oil pump drive clamp.
  8. Remove the oil pump drive.
  9. Remove the oil pump drive seal.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 190531 Size: SH
  1. Install the oil pump drive seal. Coat the seal or bore in the engine block with engine oil.
  2. Install the oil pump drive. Refer to Oil Pump Drive Installation .

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the oil pump drive clamp.

    4. Install the oil pump drive bolt. Refer to Oil Pump Drive Installation .

  4. Connect the fuel return pipe to the fuel injector rail. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.4L.

    5. Object Number: 190514 Size: SH
  5. Connect the fuel feed pipe to the fuel injector rail. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.4L.

    6. Object Number: 190511 Size: SH
  6. Install the fuel pipe clip.

    7. Object Number: 190512 Size: SH
  7. Install the fuel pipe clip bolt.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel pipe clip bolt to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  8. Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
