Inspect the drive belt for looseness.

Is the mark on the drive belt tensioner outside of the range, as indicated on the tensioner housing?

Inspect the ribs in the drive belt.

Are the ribs in the drive belt aligned with the grooves in the pulleys?

Go to Step 3

Correct the pulley alignment.

Inspect the drive belt for signs of cracks, glazing or deterioration.

Does the drive belt show signs of wear?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Inspect the drive belt for excessive oil or grease.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 5
