For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Trim Covers, Shift Lever Seal - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .
- Remove the automatic transmission shift lock control from the steering column.
Use a screwdriver to assist in the removal of the automatic transmission shift lock control from the steering column jacket assembly.
