the IPC programming.
Cruise Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the CRUISE indicator
as commanded by the IPC.
ECT: The scan tool displays -40-151°C (-40-304°F).
The PCM monitors the voltage at the signal circuit of the engine coolant temperature
sensor. The voltage is inversely proportional to the engine coolant temperature.
Electronics Battery Fd: The scan tool displays 0-19 volts. The voltage measured from
the BCM power (B+) input circuit to the BCM's ground circuit.
Engine Oil Level: The scan tool displays Ok/Low. The PCM monitors the signal circuit
of the engine oil level switch, where an open switch is displayed as Low (low
engine oil level).
Engine Oil Life: The scan tool displays 0-100%. The PCM calculates the remaining
engine oil life.
Engine Oil Pressure: The scan tool displays Ok/Low. The PCM monitors the signal circuit
of the engine oil pressure switch, where an open switch is displayed as Low
(low engine oil pressure).
Engine Speed: The scan tool displays 0-9999 RPM. Engine speed is
computed by the PCM from the 3X reference input. It should remain close to
desired idle under various engine loads with the engine idling.
English/Metric State: The scan tool displays English Units/Metric. The default units
that are programmed into the IPC based on the part number. This state will
not change when the units are changed via the driver information center (DIC).
Fuel Level: The scan tool displays 0-100%. The PCM calculates the amount
of fuel remaining in the tank based on the input from the fuel level sensor.
The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the fuel
level percent.
Hi Beam Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the high beam indicator
as commanded by the IPC.
Hi Res. Speed Failed: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state will be On if the IPC
does not receive a valid vehicle speed class 2 message from the PCM.
Ignition 1: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC displays On if it senses
voltage at the ignition 1 input.
Key In Ignition: The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The BCM monitors the key
in ignition switch, where a closed switch is displayed as Active (key is in
the ignition).
Left Turn Signal: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the left turn signal
switch, where a closed switch is displayed as On.
Low Brake Fluid: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the brake fluid
level indicator switch, where a closed switch is displayed as On (low brake
fluid).
Low Brake Fluid Report: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state will be On if the IPC
sends a class 2 message to the EBCM indicating low brake fluid.
Low Coolant Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the engine coolant
indicator module, where a closed switch is displayed as On (low coolant level).
Low Fuel Indicator Off: The scan tool displays a percentage. This is the calibration value
the IPC uses in order to determine when to turn off the low fuel indicator
in the message center. It is based on the class 2 message from the
PCM indicating the fuel level percent.
Low Fuel Indicator On: The scan tool displays a percentage. This is the calibration value
the IPC uses in order to determine when to illuminate the low fuel indicator
in the message center. It is based on the class 2 message from the
PCM indicating the fuel level percent.
Low Fuel Indicator Timer: The scan tool displays counts. This is the calibration value the
IPC uses in order to control the delay before the IPC illuminates the low
fuel indicator in the message center. The counts correspond to seconds.
Low Res. Speed Failed: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state will be On if the IPC
does not receive a valid wheel speed class 2 message from the EBCM.
The wheel speed is used as a back up if the IPC does not receive a valid vehicle
speed class 2 message.
Low Washer Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the windshield
washer solvent level switch, where a closed switch is displayed as On (low
washer fluid).
Odometer Msg. Failed: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state will be On if the IPC
does not receive a valid odometer rolling count class 2 message from
the PCM.
PROM ID: The scan tool displays a 4 digit number that the identifies the
PROM.
Right Turn Signal: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the right turn
signal switch, where a closed switch is displayed as On.
Seat Belt Status: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the fasten safety belt
indicator as commanded by the IPC.
Traction Off Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the TRAC OFF indicator
as commanded by the IPC.
Trip Reset Switch: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the trip reset
switch, where a closed switch is displayed as On (switch pressed).
Trunk Lamp Switch: The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The output of the rear
compartment lid ajar indicator switch, where an open switch is displayed as
Inactive (trunk closed).
Vehicle Speed: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h (0-155 mph).
