  1. Disconnect the rear vertical adjuster motor connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp from the rear vertical motor up circuit terminal in the adjuster motor connector to positive voltage.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Connect a test lamp between the rear vertical motor up circuit terminal in the adjuster motor connector to ground.
  2. Press and hold the power seat switch in the rear up direction.

Connect a test lamp from the rear vertical motor down circuit terminal in the adjuster motor connector to positive voltage.

  2. Press and hold the power seat switch in the rear downward direction.
