For 1990-2009 cars only
Removal Procedure
- Remove the covers from the front end of the seat adjuster track by spreading the two rear feet and pulling forward.
- For the manual seat, remove the retaining screw from the rear of the seat adjuster track. Remove the covers from the track.
- For the power seat, use a flat-bladed tool to lift the retainer tab from the rear of the seat adjuster track. Remove the covers from the track.
Installation Procedure
- For the power seat, install the covers to the rear of the seat adjuster track.
- For the manual seat, position the covers to the rear of the seat adjuster track. Insert a screw to secure each track cover.
- Install the covers to the front of the seat adjuster track.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
