Door Inside Handle Bezel Replacement Monte Carlo

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 459406  Size: SH
  1. Remove the inside door handle bezel screw.
  2. Pull the front end of the bezel (rounded end) away from the trim pad.
  3. Slide the bezel forward to release the rear clips.
  4. Remove the inside door handle bezel from the front door trim panel.
  5. Remove the front door lock switch from the inside door handle bezel.
  6. Remove the inside door handle bezel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front door lock switch to the inside door handle bezel.
  2. Install the inside door handle bezel to the front door trim panel.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the screw to the inside door handle bezel.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the screw from the inside door handle bezel.
  2. Pull out on the bezel at the opening by the handle to disconnect the clip.
  3. Remove the bezel from the front door trim panel.
  4. Remove the door lock switch from the inside door handle bezel. Refer to Door Lock Switch Replacement .
  5. Remove the handle bezel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front door lock switch to the inside door handle bezel. Refer to Door Lock Switch Replacement .
  2. Install the bezel to the front door trim panel.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.
