Removal Procedure
- Remove the I/P lower trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Remove the retaining screw (1) from the panel air distribution duct.
- Remove the retaining bolts from the panel air distribution duct.
- Remove the panel air distribution duct from the cross vehicle beam.
- Reposition the right I/P fuse junction block.
- Remove the retaining bolts from the right air distribution duct.
- Remove the right air distribution duct from the cross vehicle beam.
Installation Procedure
- Install the right air distribution duct to the cross vehicle beam.
- Install the right air distribution duct bolts.
- Install the right I/P fuse junction block.
- Install the panel air distribution duct to the cross vehicle beam.
- Install the panel air distribution duct screw (1).
- Install the panel air distribution duct bolts.
- Install the I/P lower trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screw (1) to 1.8 N·m (16 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
