Some customers may comment that the anti- friction tape has come loose from the instrument panel trim face and looks like the dash has a larger gap than normal. Refer to the illustration above for location.
The anti- friction tape may have come loose from the trim plate.
Remove the instrument panel trim plate. DO NOT remove or cut the tape while the trim is attached to the dash. Refer to trim plate replacement document ID #774265. Loosen the tape from the top and cut the top edge of the tape off; do not remove the tape on the back of the trim. Refer to the illustration above.
