The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
The CD player may become inoperative or a CD will not eject from the CD player.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The cause has been determined to be a result of the CD uplever assembly being out of specification. This uplever is designed to prevent a CD from being inserted into the CD player when a CD is already in the player. If the uplever allows a CD to load when a CD is already present in the player, the CD player will become jammed and will not play or allow a CD to eject. When this condition occurs, it will be necessary to send the radio to an authorized repair center who have been supplied with revised components to repair this condition.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
