Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement 3.4L

Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
Drain the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
Use
J 38185
in order to reposition the hose clamp from the water pump housing.
Remove the radiator outlet hose (2) from the water pump housing.
Remove the lower radiator air deflector. Refer to
Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement
.
Use the
J 38185
in order to reposition the hose clamp from the radiator.
Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
Installation Procedure
Align the marks on the hose. Install the outlet hose to the radiator.
Use
J 38185
in order to reposition the hose clamp to the radiator.
Install the radiator lower air deflector. Refer to
Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement
.
Install the radiator outlet hose to the water pump housing (2).
Use
J 38185
in order to reposition the hose clamp to the water pump housing.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.

Removal Procedure
Drain the cooling system. Refer to

Remove the lower radiator air deflector. Refer to
Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement

Use the
J 38185
in order to reposition the hose clamp from the radiator.
Remove the radiator outlet hose (3) from the radiator (2).
Lower the vehicle.
Use
J 38185
in order to reposition the hose clamp from the water pump housing.
Remove the radiator outlet hose from the water pump housing.
Installation Procedure
Align the marks on the hose. Install the radiator outlet hose to the water pump housing.
Use
J 38185
in order to reposition the hose clamp to the water pump housing.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
Install the radiator outlet hose (3) to the radiator (2).
Use
J 38185
in order to reposition the hose clamp to the radiator.
Install the lower radiator air deflector. Refer to
Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement
.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
