The internal fault detection is handled by the driver information center (DIC).
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC B0931 Compass Sensor Circuit
The DIC monitors the analog input value at power up.
The DIC does not detect the compass sensor. This may be due to a faulty sensor or a remote sensor (sunroof only) that is not connected to the DIC.
The DTC will be set and stored in non-volatile memory.
• | The DTC becomes history when the DIC no longer detects a failure. |
• | The history DTC clears after 100 fault free ignition cycles. |
• | The DIC receives the clear code command from the scan tool. |
