The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Remote start disable history missing from scan tool data list.
Recommendation/Instructions:
This is a concern with the Tech 2® software and is expected to be resolved in the near future. When diagnosing remote vehicle start for being inoperative or intermittently inoperative follow the diagnostics for Remote Vehicle Start Inoperative in
SI.
Note: The remote start feature provides two separate starts, each with 10 minutes of engine running. The remote vehicle start feature needs to be reset after your vehicle's engine is started two times using the transmitter's remote
start button. The remote start system is reset by Inserting the vehicle's key into the ignition switch and turning it to RUN.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
