The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Damage to connector C3 at UBEC.
CAUSE: Increased current draw over extended period of time due to cooling fan motor overheating in extended idle high ambient conditions.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Replace cooling fan motors PN 89018696 and replace the connector C3 of the forward lamp harness PN 88988813.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
