Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Left Side RPO LS4

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the left front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the left engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .
  4. Support the transaxle.

Transaxle Bracket to Transaxle Mount Nut (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
47 N·m (35 lb ft)

Transaxle Bracket to the Transaxle Bolt (Qty: 4)

Tighten
95 N·m (70 lb ft)

Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Left Side RPOs LZE/LZ9

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the left front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the left engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .
  4. Support the transaxle.

  5. Object Number: 630964  Size: SH
  6. Remove the transaxle bracket to transaxle mount upper nuts.

  7. Object Number: 161246  Size: SH
  8. Remove the bolts which secure the transaxle bracket to the transaxle.
  9. Remove the transaxle bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 161246  Size: SH
  1. Position the transaxle bracket to the transaxle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the transaxle bracket bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bracket bolts to 95 N·m (70 lb ft).

  5. Remove the support from the transaxle.

  6. Object Number: 630964  Size: SH
  7. Install the upper nuts which secure the transaxle bracket to the transaxle mount.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the upper nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

  9. Install the left engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .
  10. Install the left front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  11. Lower the vehicle.
