The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some owners may comment that the SES Light is on. Upon inspection you may find DTC P0054 (HO2S Heater Resistance Sensor 2) stored in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
Recommendation/Instructions:
Follow the diagnostic information contained in SI. If the diagnostics instruct you to replace the O2 sensor then obtain part number of sensor that is in the vehicle at this time. Call GM TAC to set up a case. TAC will advise of repair procedure at this time.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
