The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Unwanted Brake Pressure Modulation Valve (BPMV) solenoid activation after programming the EBCM or the EBCM cannot be programmed and there will be several line error codes displayed on the Tech 2.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Unwanted BPMV solenoid activation after programming the EBCM:

Verify the proper calibrations have been selected. If the wrong calibrations are selected, the vehicle may exhibit unwanted abs solenoid activation, even with the vehicle not moving. If, after verifying the correct calibrations have been selected, or if the EBCM is reprogrammed with the correct calibrations and the concern is still present, contact Techline (1-800-828-6860) for further assistance.

EBCM cannot be programmed and there are one or more line error codes displayed on the Tech 2 while programming:

Verify the battery is properly charged. Attempt to program the EBCM again. If the programming fails a second time, record all the line error codes then contact Techline (1-800-828-6860) for further assistance.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
