The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
No panic function on the key fobs for 9C1 and 9C3 equipped 2006-2008 Chevrolet Impalas.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The key fobs for the 9C1 and 9C3 equipped vehicles have a panic button on the fob but it is not functional. This is build intent and no repair attempts should be made to correct no function from the panic button.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
