The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Customer may report the fuel gage reads empty. DTC P0463 may be current or history. In most cases this concern will occur after fuel level sensor replacement
Recommendation/Instructions:
If DTC P0463 is current or history or if the dealer has verified their is no reading from the fuel level sensor then inspect the terminals at the fuel level sensor. If they are loose or have poor tension, replace the terminal. The proper terminal is Tyco terminal 4-969005-1 found in Lear Tray 16.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
