Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1557691 Size: SH
  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement.
  2. Remove the oil pump drive bolt.
  3. Remove the oil pump drive.
  4. Remove the oil pump drive seal.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1557691 Size: SH
  1. Install the oil pump drive seal. Coat the seal or bore in the engine block with clean engine oil.
  2. Apply prelube to the oil pump drive gear. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers.
  3. Install the oil pump drive.

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the oil pump drive bolt.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement.
