Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement for the 3.5L engine or Drive Belt Replacement for the 3.9L engine.

Power Steering Pump Pulley

Procedure

  1. Use the J 25034-C pulley remover to remove the pulley from the pump.
  2. Use the J 25033-C power steering pump pulley installer to install the pulley to the pump.
  3. Ensure the axial tolerance of the pulley on the pump shaft is within 0.25 mm (0.010 in).

Power Steering Pump Pulley

Procedure

  1. Use the J 25034-C pulley remover to remove the pulley from the pump.
  2. Use the J 25033-C power steering pump pulley installer to install the pulley to the pump.
  3. Ensure the axial tolerance of the pulley on the pump shaft is within 0.25 mm (0.010 in).
