Remove the wiper arm blades. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement.

Windshield Washer Transmission Nut Cap

Tip
Use a small flat-bladed tool to remove the transmission cap.

Windshield Washer Transmission Support Nut

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Hold the wiper arm blade tip to the target points in the lower blackout area of the windshield while tightening the nut.

Tighten
32 N·m (24 lb ft).

Windshield Washer Arm Assembly

Tip
Use a J 39637 or slightly rock the arm on the wiper pivot shaft to remove.
