Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1655133 Size: SH
  1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  3. Remove the right wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  4. Remove the right engine splash shield.
  5. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose retainer bolt (2).

    6. Object Number: 1616421 Size: SH
  6. Remove the drive belt tensioner bolts.
  7. Remove the drive belt tensioner.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1616421 Size: SH
  1. Install the drive belt tensioner.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the drive belt tensioner bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1655133 Size: SH
  3. Install the power steering gear inlet hose retainer bolt (2).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  4. Install the right engine splash shield.
  5. Install the right wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.
