DTC Descriptors

DTC C0558 00: Calibration Data Not Programmed/Learned

DTC C0558 01: Calibration Data Not Programmed/Learned short to battery

DTC C0558 02: Calibration Data Not Programmed/Learned short to ground

DTC C0558 03: Calibration Data Not Programmed/Learned voltage below threshold

DTC C0558 04: Calibration Data Not Programmed/Learned open circuit

Circuit/System Description

The electronic brake control module (EBCM) must be calibrated.

Conditions for Running the DTC

    • The ignition is ON.
    • Ignition voltage is greater than 8 volts.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The EBCM has not been calibrated.

Actions Taken When DTC Sets

    • The EBCM disables THE traction control system (TCS) for the duration of the ignition cycle.
    • The ABS remains functional.
    •  The Traction OFF Indicator turns ON.
    •  The IPC message center displays SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • The condition for the DTC is no longer present and the DTC is cleared with a scan tool.
    • The electronic brake control module (EBCM) automatically clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles.
