Tools Required

J 39037 Charge Valve Octagon Socket

1. Remove the service port cap.
2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.



3. Use the J 39037 Charge Valve Octagon Socket to remove the service port.

1. Replace the O-ring. Refer to O-Ring Replacement.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




2. Install the service port valve and tighten to 11 N·m (98 lb in).
3. Evacuate and charge the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
4. Leak test the A/C service port. Refer to Leak Testing.
5. Install the service port cap.
