  1. Remove the power steering and air conditioning belt.
  2. Remove the bolts and loosen one bolt--lower side (1).
  3. Turn the A/C compressor downward.
  4. Remove the power steering rear bracket bolt and nut and the adjusting bolt (2).

  6. Remove the A/C compressor bracket bolts (2).
  7. Remove the A/C compressor, the power steering, and the bracket.
  8. Remove the bracket (1).

  10. Loosen the generator bolt (1).
  11. Loosen the lower generator bolts and the nut (3).
  12. Remove the generator and belt (2).

  14. Loosen the engine mount upper bracket bolts (5).
  15. Remove the generator shackle (2).
  16. Remove the upper bracket (1).
  17. Loosen the engine mount lower bracket bolts (4).
  18. Remove the lower bracket (3).

  20. Remove the oil pan bolts (3).
  21. Remove the oil pan nuts (1).
  22. Remove the oil pan (2).
  23. Remove the bolts (5).
  24. Remove the oil pump pickup tube and the oil seal (4).
  25. Clean the surfaces of the oil pan and the engine block.

  27. Turn the crankshaft slowly to make the big end of the No. 1 cylinder connecting rod come on the top side.
  28. Remove the connecting rod nuts (1).
  29. Remove the connecting rod bearing caps (2).
  30. Insert guide hose in the screw side of connecting rod stud bolt to prevent any damage on the crankshaft pin and cylinder wall (3).
  31. Mark the order of the crankshaft bearing caps.
  32. Remove the connecting rod lower bearing.

  34. Remove the piston and the connecting rod by pressing the connecting rod stud bolt toward cylinder head.
  35. Remove the upper connecting rod bearing.
  36. Mark the order of cylinder on the piston and the connecting rod.
  37. Arrange the piston and the connecting rod of No. 2 and No. 3 cylinders according to steps 16-30.

  39. Remove the piston oil rings, and the compression rings, then remove the connecting rod.
  40. Using a piston ring expander tool to expand the piston rings, remove the piston rings.

  42. Remove the circlip and pull out the piston pin to separate the piston and the connecting rod.
