Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Verify that the all power windows inoperative fault is present.

Do the power windows operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the driver window switch.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Probe the 30 A power fuse voltage circuit of the driver window switch with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Connect a test lamp between the 30A power fuse voltage circuit of the driver window switch and the ground circuit of the driver window switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Test the 30A power fuse voltage circuit of the driver window switch for a short to ground or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 9

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .

Repair the open in the ground circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 9

Replace the driver window switch.

Did you complete the replacement?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
