Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1618252 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the wiper arm from the tailgate. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
  3. Remove the tailgate inside trim. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  5. Remove the rear wiper motor assembly screws.

    6. Object Number: 1618254 Size: SH

    Important: Because the wiper motor link plate is fixed, do not separate the wiper motor from the bracket.

  6. Remove the rear wiper motor assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1618252 Size: SH
  1. Install the wiper motor assembly to the tailgate with the screws.
  2. Connect the electrical connector.
  3. Install the tailgate inside trim. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Install the wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
