  1. Install a new O-ring to the oil fill tube. Lubricate the O-ring with engine oil.
  2. Install the oil fill tube.
  3. Install the oil fill tube to engine front cover bolt.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the oil fill tube to thermostat housing bolt.
  6. Tighten

        • Tighten the oil fill tube to engine front cover bolt to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).
        • Tighten the oil fill tube to thermostat housing bolt to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).

  7. Install a new O-ring to the oil fill tube. Lubricate the O-ring with engine oil.
  8. Install the oil fill tube.
  9. Install the oil fill tube bolt.
  10. Install the oil fill tube to thermostat housing bolts.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the oil fill tube bolts to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).
