Important: This service bulletin is not applicable to 'GM of Canada' dealers.
Chevrolet and GMC light duty truck dealers can sell and service the
2003 Chevrolet Kodiak and GMC TopKick vehicles. These vehicles are the replacements
for the 2002 HD3500 series of vehicles. Information on warranty eligibility,
training and tools has already been sent to dealers. The purpose of this bulletin
is to indicate what information is available and where it is located.
| • | Corporate Bulletin Number 02-00-89-007, released May, 2002,
describes the warranty eligibility guidelines surrounding the C4500 models
and the medium duty exclusive models. |
| • | The New Model Features IDL for medium duty truck (which included
the C4500s) contained the majority of the service training for these vehicles.
The broadcast is rerun periodically. Refer to the IDL schedule for the next
broadcast. |
| • | Service information for these vehicles can be found electronically
through SI. |
Because a number of light duty dealers will choose not to sell or service
these vehicles, service tools for the C4500 series were not shipped to the
light duty dealers who do not have the medium duty franchise. Light duty dealers
who will be servicing these vehicles will have to contact Kent-Moore at 1-800-GM TOOLS
to order the required tools.
