Note: The door ajar switch is contained within the lock. Therefore, removal of the lock will include the removal of the door ajar switch.

1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.
3. Remove the rear run channel from the door. Refer to Door Window Channel Replacement.



4. Remove the lock rods from the lock.
5. Remove the electrical connectors from the lock (1).
6. Remove the lock rod guide from the door lock (1).
7. Remove the bolts that retain the lock (1) to the door.
8. Remove the lock (1) from the door.

1. Install the lock (1) to the door.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the bolts that retain the lock (1) to the door.

Tighten
Tighten the retaining bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

3. Install the lock rod guide to the door lock (1).
4. Install the electrical connectors to the lock (1).
5. Install the lock rods to the lock (1).
6. Install the rear run channel to the door. Refer to Door Window Channel Replacement.
7. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.
8. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
