Subject: | Proper Positioning of Transmission Air Lines |
Models: | 2003 Chevrolet Kodiak |
| with Eaton® MS9 or MT3 Manual Transmission |
Whenever servicing any of the above listed vehicles, please also inspect for
the following.
Some Kodiak and TopKick models equipped with an Eaton® MS9 or an MT3 manual
transmission may have one of the air shift lines positioned too closely to the driveline.
If the air supply hose fitting at the filter regulator on the rear of the transmission
is not indexed correctly, the line could contact the output shaft yoke.
Reposition all lines away from the yoke. If any contact has occurred, the line
should be replaced.
