Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2005 🢒 Kodiak C-Series (Conventional) C6/C7/C8 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Electrical 🢒 Tractor Air Brake Park Control Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Block the wheels.
  2. Drain all of the air reservoirs. Refer to Air Brake Reservoir Draining .

    3. Important: Tag and label the air lines for the installation procedure.

  3. Remove the air lines from the park control valve. Refer to Hose and Line Replacement - Nylon Push-In Type Fitting .
  4. Remove the pins.
  5. Remove the knobs.
  6. Remove the parking control valve bolt/screw.
  7. Remove the parking control valve.
  8. Inspect the air lines for the following conditions:
    9. • Damage
    • Kinks
    • Wear
  9. Repair or replace any damaged, kinked, or worn air lines.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the parking control valve.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the parking control valve nuts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the parking control valve bolt/screw to 3 N·m (30 lb in).

  3. Install the knobs.
  4. Install the pins.
  5. Install the air lines to the parking control valve. Refer to Hose and Line Replacement - Nylon Push-In Type Fitting .
  6. Perform the air leakage test. Refer to Trailer Brake Control Valve Leakage Test .
  7. Perform the operational test. Refer to Trailer Brake Control Valve Operational Check .
  8. Remove the wheel blocks.
