Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 867154 Size: SH
  1. Remove the batteries. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the battery tray support from the top of the tray by removing the 2 bolts.
  3. Reposition the battery cables.
  4. Remove the step, if required. Refer to Step Replacement .
  5. Remove the battery isolator. Refer to Battery Isolator Replacement in Engine Electrical.

    6. Object Number: 867151 Size: SH
  6. Support the battery tray from the bottom.
  7. Remove the bolts from the battery tray to frame.
  8. Remove the spacers.
  9. Remove the nuts.
  10. Remove the anchor plate from the backside of the frame.
  11. Remove the tray.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 867151 Size: SH
  1. Install the tray.
  2. Install the anchor plate to the backside of the frame.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the nuts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 40-60 N·m (29-44 lb ft)

  4. Install the spacers.
  5. Install the bolts from the battery tray to the frame.

  6. Install the battery isolator. Refer to Battery Isolator Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  7. Install the step, if required. Refer to Step Replacement .
  8. Reposition the battery cable.
  9. Install the battery tray support to the top of the tray with the 2 bolts.
  10. Install the batteries. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
