The air suspension seat is supplied from either an air pump located on the engine or from an auxiliary air pump mounted on the frame of the vehicle.
The air runs through a tube that runs from the pump to a holding tank. From the tank, a line is run through a connector located at the rear of the cab. A line is then run from the connector inside the vehicle to a tee and then to the seat adjustment valve. The valve directs the air flow to the seat suspension bladder to raise the seat. The valve also releases the air from the bladder to lower the seat assembly.
The engine must be running to fill the holding tank if equipped with an engine mounted pump. The ignition must be in the run position to fill the holding tank if equipped with an auxiliary air pump.
