- Clean the oil pump drive in cleaning solvent.
- Dry the oil pump drive with compressed air.
- Inspect the oil pump drive (1) for the following conditions:
| • | Excessive play in the oil pump drive bearing |
| • | Damage to the oil pump drive clamp bolt hole (2) |
| • | Damaged gear (3) for the following conditions: |
| - | Damage to the oil pump drive shaft tang |
- Damage to the oil pump drive body (4).
- If the oil pump drive is to be used again, lubricate the bearing with clean engine oil and apply grease to all gear teeth (3).
