Preliminary Procedures

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Place a suitable support under the equalizing beam.

Rear Spring Travel Limiting Link Clip to Saddle Nut (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Remove the spring limiting link clip nuts from the suspension bracket.

Tighten
129 N·m (95 lb ft)

Rear Spring Travel Limiting Link Clip

Tip
Remove the clip from the link.

Rear Spring Travel Limiting Link to Auxiliary Spring Contact Plate Nut

Tip
Remove the nut from the auxiliary spring bracket.

Tighten
68 N·m (50 lb ft)

Rear Spring Travel Limiting Link to Auxiliary Spring Contact Plate Bolt

Tip
Remove the bolt from the limiting link and spring bracket.

Rear Spring Travel Limiting Link

Important: The sewn area of the limiting link must be installed facing away from the saddle and equalizing beam.

Tip
Remove the limiting link from the vehicle.
