  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Clean the area around the fill plug.
  3. If equipped with a Eaton® Fuller® FS series transmission, remove the oil fill plug (1).

  5. If equipped with a Eaton® Fuller® RT series transmission, remove the oil fill plug (2).

  6. Object Number: 790929  Size: SH
  7. If equipped with a Spicer® ES transmission, remove the oil fill plug.
  8. Using your index finger, inspect the oil level.
  9. Note: When adding oil, types and brands of oil should not be mixed because of possible incompatibility.

  10. If oil level is low, add until correct.
  11. If equipped with a Eaton® Fuller® transmission, use Eaton® Roadranger® CD50 transmission fluid.
  12. If equipped with a Spicer® transmission, use Spicer® MIL-2104 D API-SF, or API-CD transmission fluid.

  13. Object Number: 790930  Size: SH
  14. Ensure that the oil is level with the fill plug opening.
  15. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  16. Install the oil fill plug.
  17. Tighten
    If equipped with a Spicer® transmission tighten the oil fill plug to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).

  18. If equipped with a Eaton® Fuller® RT series transmission, install the oil fill plug (2).
  19. Tighten
    Tighten the oil fill plug to 82 N·m (60 lb ft).

  20. If equipped with a Eaton® Fuller® FS series transmission, install the oil fill plug (1).
  21. Tighten
    Tighten the oil fill plug to 82 N·m (60 lb ft).

  22. Lower the vehicle.
