Center Intake Manifold Replacement LBZ, LLY

1. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement .



2. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve cooler tube. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Replacement .
3. Remove the intake manifold tube by prying the tube out of the center intake manifold dowel pin.
4. Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger Replacement .



5. Remove the center intake manifold bolts/nuts.
6. Pull-up the center intake manifold in order to remove.
7. Remove and discard the gaskets.
8. Clean the center intake manifold in cleaning solvent and air dry.

1. Install NEW center intake manifold gaskets.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the center intake manifold.
3. Install the center intake manifold bolts/nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts/nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

4. Install the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger Replacement .
5. Inspect the 2 O-rings on the manifold tube. Replace if damaged.



6. Install the intake manifold tube over the dowel pin.
7. Install the EGR valve cooler tube. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Replacement .
8. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement .
