NOISE/RUBBING WHEN OPERATING FRONT DOORS (STRIKER BOLT)

Model and Year: 1990 W CAR SEDAN

This bulletin covers noise or rubbing when opening or closing front doors.

This is caused from contact between the head of the passive restraint striker (on door frame) and clevis plate (on center pillar).

Note: This is fore/aft interference condition only. Up/down interference with clevis may be corrected by adjusting clevis plate.

This condition may be corrected by replacing the striker with a Coupe striker, P/N 10090915, and torque to 18 lb. ft.
