CONVERTER ODOR COMMENTS NEW MONOLITH CONVERTER P/N

Model and Year: 1990 W CAR WITH 2.5L (VIN CODE R) ENGINE AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Some owners of 1990 Luminas with 2.5L engines may comment of an exhaust odor or sulphur smell. A new monolith catalytic converter, P/N 25104596 and underhood emission label have been released for this application. Label Part Numbers are:

Federal (49 States) - P/N 10165204 California - P/N 101 65205

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

The label must be installed along with the converter change. Correct installation procedures are listed in the Service Manual.
