FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSHING SQUAWK NOISE

Model and Year: 1990 LUMINA

Condition:

Some 1988-90 W-cars assembled prior to VIN breakpoints indicated below may exhibit a squawking noise from the front of the vehicle at low ambient temperatures and normal vehicle operation.

Cause:

May be caused by the front stabilizer bar rotating in the lower control arm stabilizer bar insulators.

Correction:

Replace existing lower control arm stabilizer bar insulators with new high compression insulators P/N 10152155 (2 required) following applicable shop manual procedure.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
