The Air Conditioning rear compressor bracket removal and installation procedure has been revised. The following procedure should be used when removing and installing this bracket.
A/C COMPRESSOR REAR BRACKET
Remove or disconnect
1. Negative battery cable
Raise vehicle and suitably support. Refer to GENERAL INFORMATION (Section OA).
2. Oil Filter
3. Oil Filter adapter and gasket.
Gasket Surfaces
4. Electrical connectors from A/C compressor and coil pack
5. Spark plug wire loom, position aside.
6. Rear A/C compressor bracket bolts.
Install or Connect
1. Rear A/C compressor bracket bolts.
Bolts to 35 N.m (18. lb. ft.)
2. Spark plug wire loom
3. Electrical connectors to A/C compressor and coil pack.
4. Oil Filter adapter gasket and adapter.
5. Oil Filter
Lower vehicle
6. Negative battery cable
