WIRE VISIBLE ON THE INSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR (COVER P/N)

SUBJECT: WIRE VISIBLE ON THE INSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR (INSTALL WIRING COVERS

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1990 W CARS

CONDITION:

---------- Electrical wires to lighted rear view mirror are visible when viewing from outside the vehicle.

CORRECTION:

------------ To address this condition, install a new wire cover which is now available.

Sedans: P/N #10165667 Coupes: P/N #0165666

PROCEDURE:

---------- 1. Loosen mirror attaching screw and remove mirror from windshield.

2. Position new cover over the mirror base and snap in place with wiring inside cover channel

3. Carefully insert the upper end of the cover under the front edge of the headliner.

4. Reinstall mirror to windshield and tighten attaching screw.

5. Position the cover vertically from mirror support to headliner.
