REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Pull back roof side rail auxiliary weatherstrip.
2. Screws.
3. Windshield side reveal molding.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Windshield side reveal molding.
2. Screws Tighten *Screws to 2 N.m (18 lbs. in.)
3. Roof side rail auxiliary weatherstrip.
The windshield upper reveal molding procedures have been revised for 1988 through 1991 "W" cars. Please use the following procedures for removing or installing the windshield upper reveal molding.
1. Windshield side reveal molding. Refer to "Windshield Side Reveal Molding" in this section.
2. With a flat-blade tool, carefully pry end of molding out about 75 mm (3 inches).
3. Grasp with hand and slowly pull molding away from body.
The original molding cannot be reused. Discard molding and replace with a new service molding. Be sure to prefit service molding by locating on body prior to actual installation.
1. Clear primer from urethane kit GM P/N 12345633 (or equivalent) to lower surface of molding.
2. Urethane in cavity between body and window.
3. Start from center and hand press molding into place. Tape can be applied to keep reveal molding flush with body.
4. Flood molding with warm water to speed set-up of adhesive.
5. Windshield side reveal molding. Refer to "Windshield Side Reveal Molding" in this section.
